Terms of Service

Last updated

By using minlit you agree to the following terms. They are straightforward — we want you to understand what the service is, how it works, and what is expected of both sides.

What minlit is

minlit is an academic paper discovery tool. It helps researchers find, explore, and keep up with relevant papers through search, personalized feeds, and conference browsing. The service is provided free of charge.

Your account

You can use minlit without an account for basic search and browsing. Signing in with Google unlocks additional features like saving papers and personalized feeds.

You are responsible for the activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at team@minlit.app.

Acceptable use

When using minlit, you agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the service
  • Abuse the API proxy to circumvent Semantic Scholar rate limits
  • Interfere with the service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to create accounts or generate artificial activity
  • Attempt to access other users' data

Content and data sources

Paper metadata displayed in minlit comes from Semantic Scholar. We do not own or host the papers themselves. Links to full-text PDFs and DOIs point to external sources.

No warranty

minlit is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Recommendations are generated algorithmically and should not be taken as academic advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of paper metadata.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of minlit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
